In Hong Kong serviced apartments can be the ideal solution If you plan to stay in Hong Kong for only a few months or need temporary lodging whilst you secure a long term rental property. Typically more economical and comfortable than a hotel, a serviced apartment is also ideal for those who do not want the bother or inconvenience of setting up a new property from scratch and provides greater flexibility with lease terms as short as a month.

Serviced apartments typically provide home comforts such as a separate living room and kitchen facilities;
and in addition to being fully furnished, usually supply all crockery, utensils, linens, towels and electrical equipment. One can expect a regular maid service, including change of linen and towels, with the frequency varying from daily to once a week. Utilities are usually included in the monthly rental, as are government rates and management fees. International calling, broadband access and occasionally electricity consumption are an additional charge.

A license agreement (as a opposed to a Tenancy Agreement) is normally signed, usually for a term from one to twelve months. For a term of three months or less, most landlords will require one month's security deposit. For rentals over three months, landlords usually require two months' security deposit. Occasionally you will be asked to pay an extra deposit to cover International calls and broadband usage.
